Who We Are

Chromeon is a company founded in February 2001 as a spin off from the University of Regensburg. It is located at the Biopark Regensburg, a center for biotechnological companies, close to the University of Regensburg.

Initially, based on private financing, Chromeon started its business with patents of chemical structures of fluorescent dyes and then developed further products based on this technology. In fact, it is the mandate of Chromeon to make the fluorescent dyes and structures available in the broadest extent to any application in biotechnology, analysis and any other field. Thus, Chromeon combines technologies and know how to overcome the gap between pure chemical synthesis and applications. Although still young and innovative, the products of Chromeon are already established on the international market.

Chromeon is mainly concerned with manufacturing and distributing its products. Based on a broad technological and scientific profile, it is a competent partner for development projects, especially those based on fluorescent products.
