PAN-Chromeo Nanoparticlessmall, thin-walled fluorescent particles ideal for FRETPAN-Chromeo Nanoparticles, produced exclusively by Active Motif Chromeon, are constructed from a unique form of polyacrylonitrile and are exceptionally small (less than 50 nm in diameter). In combination with the lipophilic forms of the Chromeo Dyes, these particles offer an extremely bright tool for use in fluorescent detection. Due to the water content of the nanoparticle suspensions, they are nearly optically clear, with only a slight opalescence. Because of their small size and the thinness of the encapsulating polyacrylonitrile wall, PAN-based nanoparticles are ideally suited for FRET applications. PAN-Nanoparticles are highly stable across a broad pH range and are resistant to photobleaching. They can easily be centrifuged at pH 5 and resuspended at pH 7. Although PAN-based nanoparticles are small in size, they are designed to possess a high density of carboxylic groups, which makes them ideal for conjugation to biomolecules, such as proteins and antibodies. PAN-Chromeo Nanoparticles are available with your choice of 3 different Chromeo Dyes, and can be provided either carboxylated or with surface modifications. If carboxy groups interfere with your experiments, PAN-Chromeo Nanoparticles are also available with proteinic- or tensidic-blocked surfaces. PAN-Chromeo Nanoparticle Advantages
